Vision Design & Print Studio is pleased to accept files from all major Mac OS and Windows applications. However they must conform to the following specifications.
We accept files from the following applications:
• Mac OS and Windows
• Adobe Acrobat
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Photoshop
We support various transfer methods:
• Mac OS and Windows E-mail
• Website File Upload
• CD / DVD
• USB Drives
We require document page sizes to be as listed:
• BC 90mm x 55mm
• BC UV 89mm x 54mm
• DL 99mm x 210mm
• A6 105mm x 148mm
• A5 148mm x 210mm
• A4 210mm x 297mm
• A3 297mm x 420mm
• A2 420mm x 594mm
• A1 594mm x 840mm
Please make sure that exactly 3mm bleed (minimum) is placed on your artwork where needed, artwork to be 1-up on a single page document. Where possible convert your text to paths, curves or outlines.
Please remember to supply us with all the relevant files for output (eg. fonts and graphics) otherwise this may incur a delayed delivery. If you have any other files in your transfer besides the files you want us to use, please clearly mark the files which are intended for output.
Also, please let us know what files are attached and for what product. Without this, your job may incur a delay.
Please ensure that all images supplied are of a resolution of 300dpi. Values lower than this will result in a lower quality image on the final product.
If mailing your material please include a colour or a black & white proof copy of your file and also include all fonts, scans and linked items on your disk.
For large multipage jobs please be aware of the implications of creep. Please check for the required bleed on artwork in such cases.
Make sure all colours are nominated PMS or CMYK, depending upon the printing process by which your job will be printed. Supplied RGB files will still be printed, however the final result may differ from what is expected.
Avoid four colour blacks. If you are doing text or line work then set the black to 100% black only. Most customers looking for a deep black background use 45% Cyan and 100% black.
Please note that certain Pantone colours are outside the printable colour range of CMYK devices.
Please do not set any elements of your job (text or graphics) to overprint. Our pre-press workflow will take care of all trapping issues relevant to your job.
If artwork cannot be supplied to these specifications, Vision does offer a design service. For a fee, we can create your artwork and take you through the whole process from concept to print.
